Strangely, I am not running into quick answers.

Mamiya RB67 KL lenses are often listed as sold 'without the Pro S/SD lens adapter.' Do any of you:

1. Have a picture of this lens adapter that should be included with the KL lenses?
2. Know what the adapter is necessary for?

The later RB cameras - RB67-SD - had a larger throat opening, to accomodate a couple of the later, more esoteric lenses.
The lens mount is consistent through the line, but the larger throat meant that the smaller lenses could benefit from the added adapter - it essentially adds extras stability on the SD model body in situations where it might be necessary.
The adapter isn't critical - it can be dispensed with in most cases.
 
I believe unscrupulous sellers remove the adapter so they can sell it separately. And yes, you can use the lenses on a Pro SD, but using the adapter is preferable.
