Henning and anyone else who goes to Photokina,
Can I ask a small favour, please?
Could you let know to Lucky films that their colour emulsions are being missed. They can be found on hall 3.1, stand C055.
Thank you so much!

Fujifilm will surely be there at Photokina. Will Kodak Alaris be present at this photography trade show?

Fujifilm will be there. On last Photokina they had a huge booth. And one special booth for their Instax cameras and film and their new RA-4 papers as well. Lots of visitors there, and most very young.
Kodak Alaris will probably there.
Don't forget: They are very active in photography, but unfortunately for us their focus is absolutely on digital, not on film.
At least they have been very honest and clear about that in their statements so far.
But looks like most apugers so far have not listened to them.

I try to visit Photokina this year again.

will not attend:

-) Kodak

-) Adox

-) Filmotec

-) Lomography

I shall not attend either...

will attend:

-) Kodak Alaris (with two booths, the same time they even got the wrong website listed)

-) Harman (that includes Ilford Photo)

-) Fuji

-) Maco (Rollei Films)

-) Foma

-) Lupus Imaging

-) Lucky

-) Impossible
(Interesting is that Photokina no longer list films as product group.)

Wrong list.
Adox will be there, Ilford will be there, and lots of others, too.
And some smaller distributors and manufactureres will be on booth' of other companies. So some of the smaller ones will be at Maco or Fotoimpex / Adox for example for some days.

I could do it for you, but I doubt it would have any effect.
The Lucky color films were not bad, but Gold 200, Ultramax from Kodak and C200, Superia 200 and Superia 400 are significantly better.
I think it is better to support Kodak and Fuji. And Ferrania, when they are ready.

I got my information from the trade fair company at 8th of August.

Yes, meanwhile they are listed.
Thank you for your update
Good to know that Adox will show up.

Now....I wonder why he would say this....Hmmmmm......

Hi Dan,

sorry for the late reply.
Well, the reason for my statement: I know of several projects in the pipelines.
But in some cases the introduction dates are still uncertain, in other cases the work on the project is not finished yet and a success can not be guaranteed at this time point, means a failure may be possible.

Therefore in the meantime: Let's calm down, shoot film and have fun.

Best regards,
Henning

From an e-mail from Impossible: "Once again, we will be present at the world’s largest photography event – Photokina, in Cologne, Germany – where we will present the latest in our greatly expanded range of films for Polaroid 600, SX-70 and Image/Spectra cameras, as well as 8 x 10 and the Instant Lab." I wonder if this means we'll see 8x10 color...
