Photokina is right around the corner. Any predictions on what film news if any will be there?

Last time we heard a bit from Fujifilm and got Neopan 400 back, only to lose it yet again.

Fujifilm will surely be there at Photokina. Will Kodak Alaris be present at this photography trade show?

Will either have anything to bring to the show to create a bit of buzz?

Fuji film will probably have new X cams or lenses.

KA & EK should attend for their non film products.

Will Ilford be there?

I will be there. After that I can report here about any news, if you want.
Speculation now is just a waste of time.
Better go out instead, shoot lots of film and have fun.

Best regards,
Henning

P.S.: German film photography magazine 'PhotoKlassik' will be there.
And on one day I will be at their booth answering questions.

I think we all want to hear about what you see there.

Speculation now is just a waste of time.

I can do both. And speculation IS fun, if you notice, every photography forum is talking about Photokina now. Somehow film photographers can't join in with the fun?

I do not attend any longer just because it is no fun for me anymore.

But I admit even aside of cameras, films, papers and processing gear there still are interesting accessories to see.

And even in the "good old days" it was more stress than fun. Incredibly much to see, and long distances to walk, schlepping around tons of catalogues etc. I changed clothing at the fair to cope with that.

A bare site, only promoting the print magazine. No glimpses into the magazine, listing of current content is hardly readible:

http://www.photoklassik.de

About 100 pages, 4 times a year. You can subscribe from all over the world.

Then just use a good browser :whistling:
It works correctly with Firefox.

At least 4 years ago Kaiser did not show any of their film related products (they made a major range of enlargers).
I had to ask to learn that those are still available.

Thus particĂpating does not mean showing. This comes true for other manufacturers too.

Just a look at their website
http://www.kaiser-fototechnik.de/de/produkte/2_1_sortiment.asp?w=1342

or at the Brenner Foto Katalog or their internet-shop
http://www.fotobrenner.de/default.a...14922&UG=702&UE=19,71&MENPRO=3&MZW=120&SON=10

or Fotoimpex
http://www.fotoimpex.de/shop/fotolabor/vergroesserer/

or Nordfoto
http://www.nordfoto.de/Analoge-Foto...eraete/KAISER-Vergroesserer:::1_79_80_82.html

or Phototec
http://www.phototec.de/Analoge-Foto...eraete/KAISER-Vergroesserer:::1_79_80_82.html

or AG-Photographic
http://www.ag-photographic.co.uk/kaiser-enlargers-88-c.asp

and you would have seen at once that they are producing new enlargers (all the information have been there four years ago, too).

Regards,
Henning

Please read before you post.

I did not say they do not offer these products any longer.
I said that in the past they did not even show them any longer at Photokina.

If a major part of the portfolio of a manufacturer is not presented anymore at the most important trade fair I guess that it is natural then to inquire about it, notwithstanding what retailers put in their catalogues.

This thread is not about availibility but about a trade show. If someone interested on some products visits the manufacturer of this product at the appropriate fair to learn that the product is not shown at all he likely is disappointed.

Thus just listing a manufacturer as exhibitor will not necessarily tell the whole story.

Please read before you post.

Better you remember what you have written: "I had to ask to learn that those are still available."
So you have been either too lazy or too ....... to do an extremely simple internet research. All the information have been easily available.
No reason to blame Kaiser.

Thus just listing a manufacturer as exhibitor will not necessarily tell the whole story.

Exactly.
So why did you post such a listing here? The post was from you.
You are arguing with yourself.
Please think before you post.

That would be something . And Instax wide in B&W!

But realistic is that I will go on Lomography shop and get some cool camera for instax wide, those original fuji instax wide cameras are one of the ugliest cameras ever produced (but anyhow I have one  ).
