I just came across this article from 2 years ago about the passing of Jack Kurtz.

My Grandfather had prostate cancer. He was diagnosed at 94, had surgery and survived. His surgeon was a miracle man, removed all the cancer and didn't clip anything he shouldn't have (there's a story that I can't retell here as to how we know). I get checked yearly, I have an enlarged prostate but no cancer. Anyway, I took care of my Gramps until his death from "old age", at 96 he looked at me and said "I've had enough", checked himself into the local geriatrics unit, and a month later passed peacefully in his sleep. The best two years of my life.
