I have shot a bit from the car (especially during Covid) and was also inspired by Friedlander's 'America by Car' (I have the rather huge, signed Special Edition of this book). I don't use any flash but meter for the scene outside of the car and then bump the exposure a bit, but this does result in the inside of the car being a little underexposed (see some of the images I've posted in this thread). I don't mind that look but the fill flash is something I might try in the future.I tried duplicating Lee's work (before I saw the picture above). I'm using a 40mm SLR lens (rather than 38mm) and a 90 degree prism. As you can see, without the fill flash, the outside view will be over-exposed. (obviously mine is on the right),
