Riding past in the car.

This one doesn't quite fit the topic, but is somehow relevant ...
From the back seat to the driver - the thing the colleague is holding in his hand is an archaic version of today's GPS route planner ...
Taken in 1994 in the French Alps with a Konica Hexar AF on Ektachrome 100.

Cool. A vintage analog GPS.

This is the photograph that got me interested in photography. I was given a book in 1973 that had this picture. Later, in the early 2000s I had Lee sign the page with the picture.

I don't know of many photography books like these (where all the images are from the car). Does anyone know others.
Michael Becotte: "Space Capsule" and Lee Friedlander "America By Car"

I see there is a SWC thread out there. I believe this image shows how Lee made his images for the above mentioned book. Some fill flash to illuminate the inside of the car and a SWC.
When he signed my book, he indicated he was using Ilford XP-2 film and having a lab machine process it.

I tried duplicating Lee's work (before I saw the picture above). I'm using a 40mm SLR lens (rather than 38mm) and a 90 degree prism. As you can see, without the fill flash, the outside view will be over-exposed. (obviously mine is on the right),

Do you have a link to the YouTube video from which this image was taken?

There were some Lee Friedlander videos that I did not think to download, and subsequently they have been removed from youtube.
