I like the Scheimpflug condition. Photographers who have never used a view camera are amazed at what it can do. It's best said Scheimpfluuuuug to echo the focus-stretch effect.

glowacious... I've read about Brett Weston busting that one out and now I tend to think of certain lighting conditions that way.

I love all words that describe analog photography, but Neo-Autochromists has to be near the top of the list. So is heliography, apochromatic, anastigmat. Oh, and that most magical word: Film

"Hey what reading are you getting?"

I love that phrase because it can mean one and only one thing... I'm out photographing with friends.

I like "photography" - literally, drawing with light. It is worth remembering where it all started.

I like puns and ambiguity, especially in words like focus, composed etc. They often make for phrases with double entendre that can be both fun and meaningful.

Ain't no such thing as a free lunch. It's not a photographic saying, but I never realised how true it is until I started shooting and developing film.
