How about your backyard? Somehow I messed up posting the first time. I hope this one works.

I think of Uta Barth's interiors, shadows, reflections

Just thought i would say - Clyde Butcher is fighting his way back to productivity from his May stroke.

I have wondered since May how he was doing. Don't do facebook and the thread on him has been silent. I went back to that thread, found the facebook link, and looked him up.

What was most fun was seeing him wander into the swamp with his new walker, and a d*** camera and make some images. Many other interesting posts in his facebook, though i have trouble navigating, not being an account holder.

Maybe someone a little bit more attached to the work of Clyde would like to update the other post. Just saying - as my children always say to me....

Bob,

No venomous snakes only an occasional small harmless shy snake, opossum, racoon, squirrels and a family of foxes. Non of the wildlife is of any bother and we are actually close in just minutes from anything we might need.

looks fantastic to me , Toronto is a big city with lots of roads and buildings, what a change your location would be.

Bob,

I live in an urban area with a population probably similar to Toronto and possibly higher. We have a large lot in a heavily wooded setting. Thanks. If you are ever down this way bring your camera and pay us a visit.

You need not do anything. Remain sitting at your table and listen.
You need not even listen, just wait.
You need not even wait, just learn to be quiet, still and solitary.
And the world will freely offer itself to you unmasked.
It has no choice, it will roll in ecstasy at your feet.

+2 True. If you can't find it in your own back yard, you probably can't find it anywhere else either. That said, traveling does inspire me, and then, my back yard looks new again.

It's easy to forget and to photographically neglect what's always nearby. I live 45 minutes away from Lake Tahoe, a beautiful setting that people travel from all over the world to see. Yes, I've done some rewarding photography there, but sometimes I'll catch myself in the realization that I've not been to Tahoe in several months. Maybe too busy thinking about other locations, and I forget that infinite beauty is just around the corner!

Is it me or does anyone else receive a warning when texting "Digital"?

(Oops, now I have crossed the barrier, I guess there's no turning back I am chronically infected, may Analog-God have mercy on me!)

(Ralph, perhaps your eye didn't catch that jnanian enclosed "see" in quotes)

maybe, ...
"catch" vs catch
seeing vs. "seeing"
all "seems" about the same meaning, but maybe not ... i should have used caps+ italics instead
... if someone can't SEE around them where they live how can they SEE anywhere else ?

much better ?!
where's my MLA handbook 8th edition ...
