Hello All: I believe I saw someone on APUG who had developed software for putting together a photo website. Can anyone provide me with a link to this person and a name and any other contact info? Thanks, Edward (eeastman@edwardaeastman.ca)

What exactly are you looking for? An online site for direct selling to public in which case artsoft is one or a site for display purposes only or a more extensive site with options for selling and other features.
The volume and frequency of image uploads is also a consideration. For example a photographer wanting to upload 200 images a day to client only accessible areas is a different game to a personal web gallery.

There are hundreds of packages out there but it really depends on exactly the kind of design and system you want and your target audience.

google "image asset management" or "web photo gallery" or "digital asset management" and you will find loads.

If you don't find exactly what you want and require bespoke design then PM me. But note that packages are usually much cheaper than bespoke design.

One of the problems of using software like Artsoft is the poor handling of different screen resolution. On a wider or higher resolution screen it just sits in the middle.

As Rob suggests there's plenty of software available and much of it is free, try a Google search.

iWeb seems very much aimed towards people who don't know how to do web sites, in that there are simply templates you plug your photos and text into, and then upload it to your .mac account.

So how did you get it to do what you wanted, and upload it to your own site? Or is it simply a newer version than mine?
