Does anyone have a copy of Photo Techniques (Vol. 17, No. 6, Nov./Dec. 1996)? I'd like to see Bruce Barnbaum's article on Potassium Fericyanide. I've asked Bruce if he has a copy but unfortunately he doesn't. Does anyone have this sitting around?

Is this related to using K Ferri as an overall reducer, local dabbed on reducer, or when combined with with K Br as a re-halogenating bleach?

There are also esoteric uses likel bleaching back a latent image prior to development in lieu of n-x development approaches when the contrast range in a scen is very large.

Then there are discussions as it relates to cyanotype.

I have different articles clipped from various publications over the years on all of these issues, but alas not the Barnbaum PT article you seek.

I'm not entirely sure of what he covers in the article but it is on his use of Potassium Ferracyanide. I was just told that it would be a good article to have and read and I've been looking for it for a while.

Have you contacted them via their website? They claim to have a "vast archive" of all the various incarnations of the magazine and in the 'Past Issues' section, there's a contact address to enquire about ordering past issues/articles. (Sorry if you've already thought of this!)
This is their website: http://www.phototechmag.com/
And this is their contact for past issues: subscriptions@phototechmag.com

Good Luck! (and I'm relieved to hear that I finally contributed something to APUG that wasn't entirely stupid! )

I have a copy of the mag. The article goes over 4 pages. If you can't get a copy from the magazine itself, send me a pm with your address and I'll mail you a copy of it.
cheers
Mike

One of the members over at LargeFormatPhotogrpahy.info/forum sent me a scan of a revised version of the article which was published at a later time which is 3 pages in length. I wonder if the revision leaves anything valuable out...

Phoenix Public Library shows they have it going back to 1996 at the Central Library.
