This is a fine publication.
It serves the interests of a small but interesting group of consumers of photography.
And they are the sort of magazine that one would collect and keep, rather than buy and consume.
Most of the rest of those who are interested in photography have, historically, looked to magazines for many other things. It is those magazines that aren't viable any more, because they predominantly depended on the photographic equipment and supplies market to generate advertising.

As an initial subscriber in 1999, I agree. The editorial staff has its eye on what is good historically and presently. Very little advertising, no equipment.
