I'll be driving around Arizona from the 19th on. Can anyone recommend a good lab in Phoenix? I'm thinking about dropping film off for processing.

There will probably be everything from 35mm to 120 and 220 and 4x5, b&w and slides. If possible, I'd like to avoid taking undeveloped film back on the plane with me.

Thanks in advance for any tips!

One of the best, IMHO, is Tempe Camera Repair, Inc. I just so happen to live in Tempe, and they are the best! Depending whereabouts you plan to be in the Phoenix area, TCR is located on University Drive, on the corner of Roosevelt Street (a side street in Tempe). A straight "shot"{pun intended!!} from Arizona State University.
TCR's phone number is: (480) 966-6954.
All the best to you--and drink plenty of water!! It's only May 13th and already is over 100 degrees [Fahrenheit].

I used to shop there when I lived in Phoenix. I always wondered how their business is going.

They are still going! Like that toy bunny, on TV!

Hello, Im a Phoenician and use both Tempe Camera and Photomark. Photomark is a little less expensive and just as good for developing in my opinion.

I think it depends on what part of town your in. Tempe in the south and Photomark closer to downtown. I deal with Tempe nowdays.

Tempe Camera!!!

I really cannot believe what occurs around me, sometimes!
Just as someone within this particular thread asks about Phoenix-area photo processing labs, and I contribute my 2 cents of Tempe Camera Repair, this article comes out in the Sunday Arizona Republic newspaper, in the Business section:

My post was done, way before I even looked at the paper, today!! :surprised:

I will second Tempe Camera as offering great service. While I have not had processing done there, I will say that they offer much more reasonable prices than many other places in town on other services...lens board cutting comes to mind.

I worked at Image Craft for a few years in the late 90's, so I will throw them a plug. - Jim

Just a little update on B&W processing at Tempe Camera. I had a roll of FP4 and Delta 400 processed and printed, and outside the fact that one of these days I'll learn to use a camera, the processing was lacking for me; Just no punch to the pictures; They look like they need a grade higher contrast. They use an Ilford machine with chemicals specifically made for it. Of course they have to address many different customers, but if you shoot B&W you may be better off taking it home to do.
