Petition for Fuji B&W instax film

I think you are beating a dead horse, or in this case, a dead product. The business decision has been made and I believe is irreversible. Hopefully a manufacturer with a volume scale that would produce a profit will pick up the slack, as some have mentioned.

I second the motion for a more technically capable camera that will use Instax wide. I'd be on that in a heartbeat. Even quicker for a back that would fit my RB/RZ's, Hasselblads or GX680's, not to mention 4x5's.

Instax wide will come for sure (later), once when technology is there - it is only a matter of time.
But in any case this is without any competition the greatest news in film industry in 2016 (imho)!
I even consider to buy some lomo instax camera, they have a lot of nice options.

Knowing Fuji, I don't think they "listened" -- rather, I think this has been in the works for a while.

Yes and no:
They didn't need to listen anymore to this special petition, because at that time the product development was in its final phase or already finished.
But they listened to their customers in the last years, because lot's of photographers have asked for a BW instax film in the recent past.
I well remenber that I have asked for that in my talks with Fuji managers at Photokina 2012 and Photokina 2014.

If they've taken it this far, and the product does okay, then they probably will. Once they've gone to the trouble of creating the emulsion and the chemistry, the rest is basically packaging.
