Also there are 3 versions of the Pentax Spot meter over the last several decades, you will need to be more specific...

and of course The Pentax Digital Spotmeter

Its the same unit, just the V one has a Zone V scale on the dial as well.

1/21 takes mercury batteries. V takes alkaline and silver batteries.

to add to what Erik pointed out...

Primary difference for the first two is simply the 1/21 was made when Pentax was still Honeywell, it uses a 9v for the low range of the EV scale, and the Mercury's for the top range. I believe they are virtually identical otherwise. The digital model is of course significantly newer and has some design upgrades.
