I have a Pentax Spotmeter V with the following conditions:
- Battery check test runs fine. The meter needle will point to the little black rectangle between 7 & 8
- Highlight metering doesn't work, both in indoor and outdoor (meter needle stays at the very left)
- Lowlight metering on bright outdoor overxposes (meter needle points at the very right), unless you point at shadowy area. Indoor works fine.

Anyone ever experienced and fixed that on their own?
Or if someone knows a repairman that can work on it (preferrably on Asia or Australia), let me know.

Your light meter needs to be repaired and recalibrated. I could only refer you to the repair people in Los Angeles that has risen to the top since George at Quality Light Metric retired and shut down. Some on in your part of the world will have to step in and guide you for a qualified repair person.

Errr...who are the repair people in Los Angeles that has risen to the top since George at Quality Light Metric retired and shut down, please? QLM recalibrated an old Ranger 9 meter for me many years ago, and I have a few other meters that could use some attention, but with George gone, who can you recommend?

I did not write it down but call Samy's Camera on Fairfax and they will tell you.

Sorry for the late reply. Yes, any info on experienced repairman is appreciated.

You have a Pentax Honeywell meter last made before 1980. Parts are no longer available. They are also very hard to calibrate.
Plus the photo cell deteriorating over time.
