Free PENTAX SLR Health Check

PENTAX Trained Technicians

In recent years film photography has experience a welcome resurgence, photography is a great hobby and a fantastic way to record the important moments in your life along with your travels for yourself and future generations.

Dust off your old Pentax film cameras and let us breathe new life into them.

We will check the following:

  • Shutter speeds
  • Metering
  • Transport
  • Light seals
All our health checks are done by Pentax Trained Technicians using Pentax OEM shutter testers.

If we find your camera requires any work we will let you know and you can choose what to have done or simply ask for the camera to be returned and pay the return postage only.

We carry in stock thousands of parts for K1000, KX, KM, Me-super, MX, LX, P30, 6x7 and Spotmatic cameras, almost all the Pentax film models. Because we have the parts in stock we can usually offer a fast repair service of between 7-10 working days.

This offer is exclusively available through Pentax User and the price we quote for any work will be discounted - Please mention Pentax User when sending the camera.

Please send your camera to the address below with your contact details:

This is very good information for Pentax owners and as a Pentax 67 owner it is now filed away for future use if needed. Hopefully it won't be needed, but you never know.

Definitely a good thing for people with a P67II. In the US, I believe Eric Henderson (pentaxs.com) still works on the earlier model, but not the II. He was Pentax trained as well, I believe.

I haven't used my 67II kit with 11 lenses recently and have been debating whether or not to send the body in for a CLA which I am sure that t needs. After Pentax rebuilt the winder ~2005 it has been working flawlessly requiring only cleaning the AE Prism finders contacts more often than when it was new.

Eric Hendrickson rebuilt my early 6x7. A second body was beyond repair so I gave it to him for parts. That was 6 or 7 years ago. It's still going strong and my brother now has the 6x7 kit. My 6x7 negatives now come from my Cambo 23SF.

Eric just rebuilt a battered black Pentax MX for me so he is still fixing cameras.

Eric Hendrickson serviced my Pentax 6x7 a couple of years ago: replaced the main electronic board, and fixed the battery drain problem. It works as new now. And his price and turnaround time are both very good.

I have also used Advance Camera on a few occasions to fix my Pentax 67II. They are the only ones in all of North America that still fix the 67II camera. No one else will touch it today.
