Pentax 6x7 replacement screen

What are/were the options for replacement screens for the the Pentax 6x7 and 6x7 MLU versions? Did Pentax ever offer replacement screens or were the replacements 3rd party products?

I know it's not a user changeable screen - needs to be done by a service center. Just trying to figure out what I need to hunt for.

Replacing the focusing screen can be done by the user, but the tricky part is calibrating it for correct focus once it is in place; a tech bench uses a collometer to accurately place focus at 3 points proximal to the central focusing spot and surrounds. Calibration is done by adjusting the screws that hold down the fascia securing the screen.

Additional screens are the central-microprism spot and the grid screen (for architectural use).

Beattie Intensescreens were at one time available but I have not seen these for many years. Whether or not these third party screens introduce metering errors is not known, but that has been talked about with many cameras, not necessarily the Pentax 67 / 6x7.

Plentiful as they are, focusing screens for the Pentax 67II are not compatible with the older Pentax 67 / 6x7 cameras.

Don't know if Bill Maxwell is still around, but he had replacement screens for the P67. I'd highly recommend having a competent repair shop do the replacement.
