Pentax 645 battery contact problem

As it started on my body again (it was intermittent before) I wonder if anyone has come across a "permanent" fix for this.

Camera does not come on when powered with in-grip battery holder. When remote battery is connected all works fine. Battery holder in the grip looks fine and if same inserted in the remote pack it powers the camera, so it is not the holder itself.

The problem is in the path between grip battery holder and the release switch (however it is connected internally). I'm not sure if connecting remote pack disconnects internal path between release and in-grip battery, which could indicate a problem if it does. I do not have service manual, if anyone has the schematic I'd appreciate it.

If I search for Repair manual I get instruction manuals only; if I search for Service manual I get instruction and repair manuals and a ton of unrelated stuff. Go figure.)

I do not know the difference between a camera "repair manual" and "service manual" either. And I do not know any case where a camera manufacturer differenciated.
With other appliances, for instance a automated roller processor, such differenciation may make sense in the meaning of regular maintenance.

Google and the likes have long surpassed common sense in AI application. They've clearly followed the Smart, Smarter, Stupid formula to get where they are today.

It depends on the manufacturer as to whether they use Repair or Service for their manual. A few days ago I searched for a manual for another post. The search for repair manual turned up no results but the search for service manual turned up a Repair manual for the camera. The link stated repair manual. I use both as you never know which will give you the result you want.

I did not know I had bent down one of the contacts in the battery holder and was getting intermittent non-contact. Fortunately, I was able to bend the contact back up and have had no problems since. I mention that just as something simple to check.
