Hi , I bought a Paterson contact print proof for 6x6 and on the Top there is this plastic covering up part of the window for the film . How to use it? And can a cut black foil to use 6x7 ?

The 6x7 negatives themselves will fit in the lower three sections, provided the strips aren't cut with too many negatives in each. Has someone modified the glass in the top section? Or is that strip on the foam below, not the glass itself?
In any event, you won't be able to get an entire roll on an 8x10 sheet of paper. The 7cm length of each negative results in their being no combination or layout that permits that without cutting off the end of several negatives.

This plastic is by the glass and not the foam. And is there available specially made for 6x7 films. In BW no problem , but when I do RA4 in total darkness it comes out poorly , that's why I wanted contact print proof:smile:

There may have once been proof printers customized for 6x7 negatives, but they would have needed to be oversized and designed to be used on paper that is larger than 8"x10".
9.5" x 12" paper is big enough for an entire roll of 120 6x7 negatives. I'm not sure if 8.5" x 11" paper is big enough.
