My F1 fell on the ground when the BAL-U decided to part from the Pigriff while I was walking, and it seems to work properly (I still have to develop the film), but the frame counter is blocked on "2".

I did not notice this at first, but the top cover has been bumped and I'm afraid it blocks the frame counter.

I saw a "for parts " body for a price I find fair (around €50) without finder and screen, and was thinking of using it as a donor to replace the damaged cover.

But it is the "old" one, with a winding lever in one piece and not ratchetted, and mine is the neto use wer model, so I'm wondering if my plan could work.

Any advice would be appreciated !

(The second part of the plan would be that, since I found a Speedfinder and "G" screen to use with my Novoflex, so I could try to fix the donor to have a spare body)

Thanks! I may get my feet wet then. Just have to manage home diplomacy, my photography budget is growing at the moment...

Well... I'm now the happy owner of a second F1, which is great. The camera triggers, kind of works save a few functionalities (self timer is almost gummed, aperture preview does not reopen fully, etc)

Good news are the top cover is indeed compatible (except the "decoration" below the speed dial is not the same, so I have to use it with the cover, but it's no big deal)

Bad news are... when replacing the shutter lock mechanism, I damaged the spring that actuates the detent ball... At the moment I'm using a piece of gaffer tape to keep the shutter unlocked, but I'd like to replace the spring.

And since the donor camera is missing this spring and the steel ball, I'm on the market for two springs and one ball...

I cannot find the spring size, so if somebody could tell me what to look for, I'd be very happy (and if you have a good source for these it would be even better)

Thanks!
