I decided to archive hard copies of hundreds of my photos. I picked up a new Canon ET8550 printer. The photos look great, but when I view at an angle, I see indentation lines running parallel to the paper direction, about 2 inches apart, likely from the rollers. I thought about returning the printer as defective, but then I noticed this doesn't happen with all papers. I'm wondering if this issue is a matter of paper quality, type (eg, gloss vs matte), or something else. Are some papers softer than others? How do I tell which paper to buy? Anyone familiar with this issue?
