Paper Recommendations for TMX

I've developed some of my first rolls of Tmax 400 in Pyrocat HD. The negs look good, the prints less so.

My usual Bergger VCCB doesn't seem particullarly suited to tmax. I got better results from Ilford Warm tone multigrade but so far not as good as tri-x 320. Pictures lack good strong whites. If I up the contrast, I lose shadow detail. I developed for 10 min at 68F in a Jobo using pyrocat at 2:2:100.

Is there a paper that would be better with tmax? I'll also try a longer development time next week, I was a bit concerned about blowing out the highlights with tmax. Any suggestions?

I've been working recently with T-Max Y (400) and Kodak's 8X10 Polycontrast IV (RC/VC) and 11X14 Polymax Fine Art (FB/VC). My first impressions were that these are the papers for T-Max films. My initial purchase was for minimum amounts of the papers to get to know them. I feel I will stick with them in larger quantities for some time.

I have found that highlights that were unprintable for me on Ilford, Berger, Forte, Luminous and Seagull are obtainable on the Kodak papers.

I think it would worth your time and money to try them to see how you feel.
