Overly glowy portra 400

Hi all, got some photos back that I recently shot with my Mamiya 6. All my photos have a distinct glow to them. I imagine this is somewhat characteristic of portra, but one photo in particular stood. out. If you look at the linked photo, notice the edges of the yellow poles has what seems like halation. Why is this?

cool photo. looks more to me like the effects from a smudge on a lens/filter than a film thing.

Perhaps a bit of condensation on the lens from taking it from AC to hot muggy outdoors.

This is my thought. Even condensation on the film. It was hovering around 5 C that evening coming from heating indoors.

I don't think it's any lens blurring or any mechanical fault. This was my first afternoon shooting after a CLA

I'd check as well whether this is a problem with scanning.

If there has been no mention of "glowing" I don't think I'd have ever given it a thought. In fact I am still not sure I see any glow. Of course the unmistakable glow that no-one can miss is the one provided by Leica.

Sorry I just couldn't resist just a bit of Friday afternoon whimsy. Smile inwardly or silently curse my Philistinism but please don't respond and divert the thread

I had this on a roll recently. I think it was really hot and muggy and the film got all muggy too.

That or a smudge filter, or a bad batch of chems, or the film is expired or the temps were wrong, or the lens was fogged, or the camera was damp...

Most of the images are fairly high contrast. Looks like flare from the lighting, or lens cleanliness, or both. Try the same camera and film and lens on multiple images of low contrast evenly lit subjects. See how the results are similar or different.
