Dear all,

I have used a Fuji Provia 400X film thinking of having loaded a 100F. On top of that, that film is meant to be used for a double-exposure project, and it has been exposed only once, but at 100 ISO instead of 200 ISO (second mistake in a row that I did). This means that after the second exposure at 100 ISO, that Provia film will be overall exposed as it were rated 50 ISO. Is it possible to pull the film 3 f-stops (or even just 2), or should I just forget to obtain any useful result in terms of picture quality? According to the Provia datasheet, the film is more prone to push rather than pull...

Thank you in advance for your feedback.

Cheers,
Nico

How contrasty were the lighting conditions you shot under?

What sort of subject brightness range were you working with?

Model with white background illuminated 2.5 f-stops more than the model to define her silhouette, so I expect it to be quite contrasty.

Maybe the washed out look will turn out well.

If you try a two stop pull, it might help.

Perfectly possibly to pull process it, even more than 3 stops, I've done Velvia 50 by 4-5 stops before for someone who shot 617 and mistakenly didn't close the aperture down.

It just comes out really flat looking, but of course you can get a normal looking image once scanned and corrected, it just will not have any of the punch it would have had normally.
