I saw some stunning photos that were shot on Efke Orto 25 (which is somewhat like the Adox Ortochromatic).

The problem is that these were shot on 35 mm and I do most of my B&W work on 120 film. I do not seem to find this film in medium format.

Does anyone know sources for orto film in 120?

Adox Ortho 25

and

Rollei Ortho 25

(both originate from the same raw film)

AgX: really? I didn't know.

If so, then Adox Ortho 25 is a much better deal than the Rollei brand, because it sells for about half the price at Freestyle.

I was under the impression that all the Ortho 25 emulsions on the market from Rollei/Adox/Efke were all the same film. I've only used the Adox though, and it is quite lovely stuff...time for another order from Freestyle.

Fleath,

I assume Efke branded films to be coated by Efke as they are a coating company themselves.

Maco stated that once they had an orthochromatic film coated by Efke which they sold as Maco Ortho 25 and that by now they have their Rollei Ortho 25 coated by Filmotec.

But the data that Fotoimpex gives in their Adox Ortho 25 is up to the nanometer identical to that of the Rollei Ortho 25...
