If I'm not mistaken, this would appear to be one of the patents for the original version of Kodachrome:

"It is an object of the present invention to provide a developer which produces a dye simultaneously and in situ with photographic development. It is a further object to produce novel dyes in color -forming photographic development. These and other objects are accomplished by the present invention by the use of aromatic amino developers together with certain specific coloring compounds hereinafter disclosed."

According to my old memory yo uare correct as this is the name of one of the inventors and he worked for Kodak.

That makes a rather poor cyan. You need 3 colors to form Kodakchrome. That is one of the first, but not the 3 color version.

Sounds like they're describing both Kodachrome and Ektachrome here. :smile:

Or maybe they did a lot more experimentation when developing the original Kodachrome?
