For the Nuance paper, you are probably correct about the grades. "Special" usually is soft-normal, i.e. about grade 2 and so on.
About the wephota pricelist, the paper I'm refering to is on page 2. ("schwarz / weiß Fotopapier ( Baryt) Universal B / Papierstark". I don't really speak german, but that should be fibre paper.)

I have been using Oriental Seagull VC FBII during the past two months and am NOT happy with the depth of the blacks as compared to Kentmere or Slavich graded paper. Tried Decktol and Moersch ECO developers so far and their is a slight difference between the two but blacks are still lacking.

I've had a printing session with Oriental Seagull FB VC yesterday and it worked for me. I have developed it in the Tetenal Eukobrom and when comparing the prints made on the MGIV and Seagull side by side (same negatives) the blacks from Seagull look just as good as from Ilford to my eye and it's overall very similar. I don't have plenty experience with printing papers but I'm satisfied with what I got so far.
