Thanks for your response,
I've only seen them go for around 1000 on ebay, the one in Germany was €500. So that's a good deal, i could try to ship it here but with import and shipping costs it's probably not worth it. Thanks anyway!
Why would there be import fees within the EU? Plus it might be cheaper for you to just go and pick it up in person.
It looks pretty nice but you have to offset it a lot to make smaller prints right?
Getting an RRB easel might be a bit easier but i probably won't get it for that price, you must have been very lucky! How is that easel working for you? It looks pretty nice but you have to offset it a lot to make smaller prints right?
I didn't really make a 20x24" 4-blade easel. But, I did find a beat-up one within my driving distance a few years ago:
Making a 20x24 4-blade easel...
I have always held the contention that when making something, you should get raw materials that are as close to the intended size and shape as you can. This makes fabrication and construction easier. In this case I found a collection of parts that were already in the rough shape of a 4-blade easel:www.photrio.com
It looks like all your photos are missing from that post - any chance you could update it so we can see what you built and how you did so?
