I happened upon this technical article, and thought some of you might be interested. Most of it is over my head, but still it's fascinating to get a glimpse into the technology.

It's basically about methods being developed for future 3D viewing systems, and includes discussion about how to simulate a 3D image from 2D focus cues (based on how our vision works) using digital techniques/software.
