I must say that the images presented here as webversions, how nice they may be, do not fairly show how sharp Mamiya 6 or 7 negatives can be.
Absolutely. When I was printing bigger in the darkroom I sometimes would struggle to distinguish a 16x20 from the M7, Acros, Pyrocat combo against any of my 4x5 negatives. It's that good.

Do not use one of the collapsible rubber lens hoods on the Mamiya 6 50mm f4. This is knowledge that I knew once and forgot, then found out the hard way. I'm estimating about a 20% total crop to get rid of the vignetting. Ah, the dangers of returning to a camera system after a 15-year hiatus.

Collapsible lens hoods came in different angles. So one must differenciate. But I got your point.

Yeah, I just grabbed the first one off the shelf that was 58mm threads. I may need to test and see if I can even use my Lee filters with this camera. I guess a measurement of the true Mamiya hood will give me a baseline.
