If you look into facility s it provides it's fully Zone system compatible and you can place the monochrome tones in the correct values to be within the films ability to reproduce them, and to predict the tonal values they will produce in the final print, so if one wants to place a skin tone in a portrait in Zone V1 for example you can predict what the tone of the sitters clothing and the background will be in relation to that Zone on the negative. I hope this makes sense to you Joseph, if not I will be happy to explain further.

The Gossen is made in Germany and is very cool. Sekonic don't make their meters in Japan any more. I think they make both the 358 and 758 in Malaysia. I know I would get flamed for this but really those simple facts greatly influenced my decision on which to buy.

It's a valid point you brought up, Chan, and I can't see how or why you'd be flamed for it. And origin of manufacture is one of the factors that I considered too, something other than a Made in China label as appearing on everything else! :rolleyes:
