Hey all,
I bought a Meopta Opemus 3 to do
120 film exclusively, i have a durst to do 35mm
Problem is, the frosted glass, i presume its the light diffuser
has broke in 2, i tried to glue it back, but you can see the glue
line when you try to enlarge a negative.
I took it out and tried it, it still seems to work ok, is this glass
a "Vital" part and if it is, where could i get another ?
Thanks

If the diffuser is square or rectangular you can make your own. The following procedure for making a focusing screen also makes a nice diffusion screen.

(there was a url link here which no longer exists)

Unfotunatly its round, it may be, i need to goto a glass place and see if they will cut me a round peice
Then apply the technique you posted above ?

Buy some lens UV filter for 2-3$ and make it frosted (same as diffusion screen).

At the risk of sounding stupid lol, how would lens UV filter work on an enlarger light diffuser ?

Using scissors like two pins tool you can unscrew inside ring. There is always two rings on rounded filters

Ok i get it now, thanks for that
