I opened my latest film delivery today and discovered that I had ordered Tri-X 320 in 120 instead of the 400 I intended. Any thoughts, tips or advice? I normally develop the 400 stuff in Diafine, rating it at 1250, or in Rodinal at box speed.

Speedwise it's just 1/3 of a stop. What is really different is that the film really is different in character. The pro version, i.e. the 320 is a very different film in that it renders better contrast in the highlights and a bit duller in the shadows. (The 400 version is the opposite, i.e. it separates the shadows better at the cost of highlight sepataration.) The response curve of the 320 film is more like TMY.
Also, the 400 version responds better to pushing if that is your intended use.

Yep, that about sums it up. If you think those differences will bother you, see if you can effect an exchange. But I wouldn't bother. Tri-X 320 is a really nice film in its own rite. Ideally, you want to use this film in controlled lighting situations, but don't let that stop you from using it outdoors. When I bought my second 4x5 camera, it came with a 100 sheet box of 320TX. I didn't expect much from the film but was pleasantly surprised with the result. Who knows, you might have a happy accident waiting to happen here. Follow the link for the tech sheet covering both 400TX and 320TX: http://www.kodak.com/global/en/professional/support/techPubs/f4017/f4017.pdf.
