I did one meter test. And this is another, maybe better one. Again, this is not scientific...

Setting, Kodak gray card, 3 feet away, with even filtered natural lighting. All cameras are set to spot metering (be it 1, 5 or 7 degrees). Aperture set to F8 (or as notes). Tests:

Minolta M spot meter: F 5.6/9, or very close to F8, 1 sec.
Nikon F100: F8, 1 sec.
Nikon D200: F8, 1.3 sec
Bronica SQ-A AE III: F8, 1 sec
Bronica SQ-Ai AE III: F8, 1 sec to 1.5 sec (1.5 sec is the next level above 1 sec)
Bronica ETR-Si AE III: F8, 1 sec to 1.5 sec.
Bronica GS-1 AE (average metering): 1 sec.

In general, the results have been consistent. Of course, this is not actual metering situation and there are many other things to consider.

So is it fair to assume that you are satisfied with the actual exposures on film... no matter which camera/meter you are using? I'd think you would have no/few worries after these results!

At least I know the meters responded to the gray card the same way, not totally off. If my exposure if off, I can only blame the film or myself....

Hi redsun, from the readings and stating the lighting condition was "with even filtered natural lighting" yet, what was your EV?

Eg: ISO 100/EV 6. If so, that would equate to about ~7.6 FCs.

The EV is 6.1....

Reason I asked was because I'm not familiar with DSLR ISO settings and perhaps you had to adjust for that across-the-line. For example, the only Digi I own range is [125-1600]

The settings should be the same to comply with the ISO standard although some digital cameras tend to be a tad optimistic.

The lowest the D70 can set is ISO 200.
