So I'm doing some minor rehabilitation on a newly acquired D5XL and the focus is really stiff. Never ran into that before. And for the life of me I can't figure out how to adjust the tension. Can someone point me in the right direction?

Apparently I'm running a refuge for Omega enlargers...4th free one arrived this weekend. If only this kind of thing happened back in the 70's.

Thanks George, just what I needed. This is a great community.

Like trying to move your automobile with the parking brake on; is the 'focus lock' knob tight or loose? Otherwise there is no adjustment of the focus tension that I know. The springs are not adjustable.
