I've been GASsing recently and my 12 step program requires me to offload this recently acquired OM kit. It consists of the following:

  • OM2n - KEH "ex" condition. The only visible wear is shown around the film door. Everything operates as it should.
  • OM 50/1.8 - KEH "ex" condition. Everything operates as it should. Includes caps.
  • OM 50/1.8 - KEH "as is" condition - This lens consistently backfocuses at all distances. You may be able to mount it reversed as a macro lens, but I have not tried this.
  • OM 28/3.5 - KEH "ex" condition. Everything operates as it should. Includes hood, caps, and case.

I am looking for a compact 35mm camera in trade. I can also consider a Pentax/Takumar Macro lens - either the 50/4 or the 100/4. These are the only items that I am looking for right now.

Pictures will be up ASAP.

OM-2n with 28mm f/3.5 is already a very compact camera system. It is blessed with OTF/TTL metering with off switch to save batteries from draining.

I personally look for 85mm f/2.0 zuiko or 100mm f/2.8 zuiko to have 28/50/85(100) combo.

"Compact 35mm Camera" is a pretty broad range.. Can you please narrow it down a little ?

Sure thing! "High quality" compacts like the Olympus XA, Agfa Optima Sensor 1035 or 1535, etc. I am not looking for another SLR system or anything as large as a Canonet or Electro 35.

I am not picky about external condition so long as operational ability and glass are not compromised.

I own an XA which is indeed a very good camera for travel. But there are other things to consider,

- Range finder patch: Very small ofter you may not notice it. I mostly ignore and shoot with hyper focal distance.
- Difficult to focus off-center subjects.
- Its plastic: It a bless and as well as curse.
- Compensation is fixed to 1.5 stops.
- No bulb: But exposure can go down to 8 seconds I guess.
- Film advance: Nice roller.

On bright side,

+ Very bright view finder.
+ Shutter release is like a modern touch screen.

Maybe an Olympus Stylus 120? Very pocketable and sharp.

Having owned both an XA and XA4 (actually gave the XA to a budding photographer), I am quite familiar with the line. Gotta love that shutter release! I've hand held 1/8th second shots that were sharp.

Here are the images. My apologies for the less than stellar IQ - the only digicam that I have is the GR1d! Gordy Strap is not included but I will include Shoe 4.
