Hello there, I have pristine cosmetics Olympus XA2 , it was taking extremelly dark images and at last try , there was no image at the film. Then I found single diaphgram piece slide from viewfinder camera gap to out.
Is this piece caused dark images or no images. While looking out from lens , there is asymetric blade workout.
I don't know what that means, sorry. Maybe try to write it in your native language and then use e.g. google to translate into English? Or do as @aw614 suggests.
I can see how a bent aperture blade could prevent the aperture from opening up. That might result in underexposed images.
I'm not really clear on reading the description of what is exactly wrong and where, or the meaning of "asymetric workout"; the mask in the viewfinder or the aperture blades in the lens?
Many, many people over the decades have tried to effect repairs to the XA and XA2 cameras; their inherent intricacy, lack of spare parts and precise fit conspires against even the boldest DIYer. The advent of 3D-printing has enabled some parts to be manufactured to near-enough tolerance (e.g. the shutter release button). And that little red square on the top is prone to failure (through excessive pressure). But if this oddity relates to inside the lens, that potentially very involved — something for a service technician (not necessarily Olympus).
I would never touch anything on my XA which was bought new in 1982 and is still working (running Provia 100F presently). I doubt the blades would simply fall akimbo from the camera sitting around. The blades issue reported sugggests the camera has suffered a severe drop (?) at some stage?
