I am currently having my olympus xa cla'd and decided it no longer fits my shooting style. Camera is in good condition aside from a few scuffs and comes with a 125$ cla being performed by zuiko.com as we speak so you know it will be in good working order.

I'm pretty surprised at the lack of offers for this little gem. Thought I would add some pictures as I just got the camera back from repair yesterday. Please understand that this is NOT your standard beat up XA from ebay where the shutter button sometimes works, seals need a bit a work, and rangefinder is all dim and useless. As you can see in the pictures this camera is in great condition for its age, and will be in great working condition as it only yesterday got back from the bench at zuiko. Even the viewfinder which is pretty dim in most models has been cleaned and brightened. The film advance is great, and most importantly the hair pin shutter button works exactly as it was meant to.

I will throw in an extra set of batteries and the slip case. This camera is great, I just discovered that rangefinders are not for me and would like to buy some film with the proceeds or acquire the material described above.

Hmm, the reason I got rid of me XA was that I couldn't focus the thing. Even tried the black tape "fix". So your saying the view finder is clear and bright and the patch is easily seen?

I was told by the repair specialist that all xa's were pretty dim to start with on the rangefinder patch. My particular unit was dim due to grime and 30 years of dust. It is noticably brighter than before but still quite terrible compared to a leica, bessa, or canonet. I think of it as only slighter better than a scale focus unit. Man, I should sell cars with this smooth salesmanship Ive got. But to be honest I dont think people who like these buy them as true rangefinders, but rather pre focused sleek discreet street shooting units.
