Hi, i've been using my XA for about 3 months now with no problems but just the other day, on the 27th mark on the film counter, I noticed that the shutter was suffering from a long lag. In any light condition and in all ASA settings, if the Aperture is set to anything other than "Flash" the shutter will open when i press the shutter button but will stay open for approximately 10 seconds, and then close. Is there some setting i might have accident switched on that I am not aware of? Thanks in advance for any help.

it is rumored that sometimes the magnets in the shutters go bad.
i have never owned an xa or used one, so i do not know how valid the rumors may be ...

Before doing anything else, clean the battery contacts in the camera with a pencil eraser and make sure your battery is fresh.
