Hi all,

I've had an Oly Flex 2A for a while now, & decided to put a roll or two through it. Unfortunately the counter sticks on 1 or 2.

I can fell it click as I wing on the film. And strangely, it resets OK.

Can these be adjusted or fixed?

TIA,
Max P

I am not sure whether this is the same submodel, but the one I have access to has a metal wheel in the take-up spool compartment. The wheel is on an axle that's spring-laden to make contact with the film backing paper. If there is enough friction between this wheel and backing paper, the counter should "just work". Have you tried different brand films? I have a Flexaret which does not work with Fuji films because the backing paper is too slippery.

All these mechanisms are very much repairable by a skilled technician. If you're good at mechanics, you could take a look at it yourself, taking notes as you go so that you can reassemble it the way it was.

Thanks for that.

Yep it has the same wheel on axle, mounted slightly off centre I guess so that an edge of the wheel acts as a pressure point on the film.

I'll try a different brand of film as you suggest.
