There used to be a highly detailed website covering Olympus OM cameras and lenses. I am not refering to the "mir" Malaysian website, but to another website that had very detailed info regarding the detailed OM bodies, lenses, optical designs of the lenses, somewhat subjective lens reviews etc. It appears to be dead as best as I can tell, which would be a pity. Does anybody know which website I am referring to, and if it still exists or even if it is archived somewhere? It would be a pity for all that info to just evaporate.

Thanks.

Sincerely,

Hany.

Most likely you are referring to "the Unofficial Olympus OM Sales Information File (abbreviated as "e-SIF")".

It has moved around a bit, and disappeared for a while recently, but it is back at the "mirror" site I have had bookmarked for a while: http://www.star.ucl.ac.uk/~rwesson/esif/om-sif.htm

Yes. This is it. Thanks. I also seem to remember another site however with lens reviews?

Haziz, have a look at zone-10.com
It contains Gary Reese's lenstest information. Cheers, Jan

Yes, I have the Gary Reese lens tests published (with permission) on www.zone-10.com as well as other OM information. Over the next couple of months I am planning to add quite a bit more reference material. Doing what I can as time allows.

Very good sites for info! Nice to see them all on one thread, as I have randomly wandered onto those sites in the past.

The FAQs has nice tidbits for the system cameras, such as which bodies need circular polarizers to meter correctly, how to reset the cpu, and double exposure methods.
