Olympus iS1000/iS-1:comments?

Just finished the first test roll with mine, will find out next Wednesday how it did.

I love the grip, but not so fond of the AF and the noise the power zoom makes. It was struggling to lock focus today, the light wasn't great but I could have managed it with a manual focus body.

Hey guys,

I don't know if this topic is still active, but I have been looking out for a solution for my loading trouble.

I just bought an used IS-1 but it's not loading, and I tried all the tips in the manual. Help (please? )

I had an issue with one of these (it may have been an IS-3). The film cartridge must "snap" into the camera and on mine the small plastic catch was broken - unless the cartridge is snapped into place, the auto load won't work.

Good news is that these cameras are pretty cheap.
