Good evening,
I'm really hoping someone can provide some insight as to why my Olympus Infinity refuses to fire off a shot. I changed the battery, but it didn't help.
I can load film, rewind film, and the self-timer even flashes. But despite all of that, the camera refuses to fire. When the shutter button is pressed, an orange light turns on in the viewfinder, but the shutter doesn't go off.
This model doesn't have the ability to turn off the flash. Could a bad capacitor be causing this issue? If so, could swapping the capacitor solve it?
The camera was gifted to me and has been in storage for years.
Thank you
