Older lightbox - upgrade?

I have an older lightbox, "Bredford ACCULIGHT, two fluorescent tubes, 3K, 20W each, 24 x 16 x 4.5 inches.

Would it be advantageous to upgrade it in some way, light quality perhaps, or make it more versatile, say, bring negs to the "dark side"?

Do you have high CRI daylight tubes in it, and are they working well, and do you like how it functions?
If so, the only reason to upgrade would be to cut down on electricity.
If and when the tubes need replacing - good ones can be costly - or it stops functioning well, you can revisit the question.
