Older Jobo Processors use NBT or BPT pipe thread fittings?

I have a Jobo ATL 2300 and the water hose ends to the supply are very hard to stop weeping/dripping.

It makes me wonder if they used the British Pipe Thread (BPT) on the couplings rather that the US Standard of NBT?

Anyone know for sure?

The spigot drum tap original on my CPP2 was Britsh pipe taper threads. Not sure what else was. This was just the drain, these were factory original AFAIK.

That was my suspicion. The hoses don't quite fit properly on a NPT (not NBT in my original post) fitting. Tends to weep and leak. OK, I will have to order some adapters.

I have found that a lot of these photo gear businesses have lost most of their Institutional Memory and didn't keep good records. Asking original users is often the best bet for accurate information.

Trouble is NPT AND BPT are not that easy to tell apart u mess one knows what he’s looking at

True. That is why I was puzzled that I could not get a good seal on my connections, despite Teflon tape and very tight connections. Hopefully NPT/BPT adapters will solve this issue.

Actually, it is the hose ends (female) that mate to my US spec plumbing where it leaks, but that is good information. Thanks!

This dilemma reminds me of the situation described between the USA and Britain at the start of Lend Lease and on into WWI. It took a huge effort to compare and standardize mechanical specifications so that parts would be interoperable between the various armed forces.

Guess some things never change...
