Hi!

Looking through a box of prints in my shared darkroom (I was waiting for a lith print exposure) I found a FB print with a lovely look and feel.

It was on a cream, double weight base. The surface was dead matt, or close to it, with a slight texture, resembling watercolor paper, but not as coarse.

I have no clue to what it is. I don't expect to find it being produced anymore. But I am curious to what it could be!

Kodak had a bunch of textured surfaces in the 70s as I recall - they were still available up until the late 80s I think. I can't remember any names per se - but I do recall leafing, in disbelief through sample books with myriad different textures including variations on canvas as well.

Could it be a mat /texture spray? I ofen spray prints so I can frame without glass.

Kentmere Art Classic? Matt, with a hint of canvas texture?

Sounds like Ektalure to me

I still have about 300 sheets of 20x16 inch which I am slowly getting through on print sales of exisiting editions

it's stuff like this that I miss most when I go in the darkroom, the previous incarnation of Kentmere Art Classic was lovely too, but very heavily textured

enjoy
