i do, and i think some of the hate thread and hate commentary is nasty .. and have said so every time i've read it.
too many closed minded people in this world, on apug and elsewhere
just because people are on apug doesn't mean it is ok the spew hate
+1 John, we're being taught "nasty & hate" by people in very, very high positions in this country so it must be OK and 100% kosher.

DPUG's original name was Hybridphoto.com - you can still see it at the top of the page of APUG.
The name was changed by Sean because it tended to confuse people who weren't familiar with mixed workflows, but the focus of Hybridphoto.com didn't change - it was intended to serve the interests of people who mixed both types of processes.

Maybe not. May I suggest a step back . . . :whistling:

"step back" ?

talk about weird.
sorry .... im not going to step back and condone propaganda ...
maybe you and your pals(?) should tone down the anti-digital rhetoric ?

BTW as found in the terms + rules [ very bottom of every page has a link to the site's rules/guidelines ]
-no digital vs. traditional threads in general forums

if you want to sell pitchforks and torches and start a DvA thread maybe you
and the others should do it via private message instead of the main forum.

yeah, the world has become pretty harsh ...

I'm fed up with looking at 50 digipics of someone's lunch. No matter how technically perfect they are.

I also shake my head when looking on forums when digi shooters bemoan the fact that they have to backup and manage terabytes of data. These guys can't bear to part with a single image. The concept of editing the best shots and discarding the rest is lost on them.

But this is APUG and not DIGIPUG . . . :whistling:

Only if it is APUG related. You may continue not to care but just know the difference . . . :whistling:

You're over 20,000 posts on this site. You should have a good understanding of APUG by now . . . :whistling:

Yes, there is a difference and one needs to follow the rules.

sorry .... im not going to step back
. . .
as i have done over the years when film zealots
. . .

Well at least you took a little bit more time . . . :whistling:

Old lenses in regards of 35mm cameras? Some old ones with 10+ blades? Wow! Sure, (for me), bokeh is better. In my situation I would call 35mm lens as old if it is from fifties. How many SLR lenses from fifties I know.... not so many. To me old 35mm SLR lenses are from seventies. And they are perfectly fine on film. No need for modern lenses, rather than need of quick AF.

John distributes and sells silver recovery systems for your darkroom, and advocates a world that accepts and fosters variety and creativity.

This.

I dont know John but hes clearly a very cool guy whose gallery, encouragement to film users and willingness to experiment in all sorts of media push me on to search for my own style.
