Well, to make upfor it, you can send the projector to me(lol). Any way, cool score.

My projector eats both CS- and conventional style slides. I need to flip up small plastic arm from the slide to change system.

BTW: Not offering mine for free. Just trying to point out that Afga might have a similar system.

Enlarger + stuff

It's a Solar in excellent condition, 4 or 5 negative carriers 35-6X9 or there abouts. Column is about 4' tall newly made baseboard, Projection Ektar lens appears to have some sort of zoom function, 8X10 & 11X14 trays, other misc stuff.

Pick up only please.
I'm about 45 miles West of Chicago near the intersection of RT 30 & 34(Ogden)

C'mon down!

Does it do 4x5?

Gnope! Well, maybe sorta. The biggest holder that's with it is 6X9 or so. It has 6 1/2" condensers though so I suspect it will but don't know fer sure. There doesn't seem to be a model # or designation on it. I'm guessing if you can't find a 4X5 carrier for it one of the smaller carriers could be cut out.

I have a Solar. I really wish someone would come up with more information on these enlargers. I don't know if will do 4X5 either but it came with that 6X9 carrier.

I had a 4x5 Solor once, never used it, however, the head/lamp-house was huge. I think it had a 300 watt bulb but not positive.

For Kodak Carousel projectors. 102mm to 152mm zoom. VG condition, some dust, some minor cleaning marks. Just pay actual postage from 55441. Due to time constraints (we're moving) I need payment via non-CC paypal as a "gift" (so no fees).

I am interested! ..But... What means this "Just pay actual postage from 55441 ... via non-CC paypal .... as a "Gift"??

How much postage is involved - and why "Gift"?

Postage to MA is $7.41 (USPS Priority mail).

If you send as paypal purchase, I pay fees on the amount you send me. So, unless you gross up the amount, I don't get the full cost of postage. Sending as a gift from a non-credit card source, does not incur any fees.

"Vintage" Photography Books

A couple of "vintage" photography books that may be of casual interest:

Kodak Professional Photoguide, 1975 printing

The First Book of Photography by John Hoke, 1965 (seems written in part for young adults, but not consistently)

Just pay shipping from 55441. Can mail book rate, but it may take a few days to get to PO.

POLAROID #500 BACK

this is free, buyer pays shipping

it is a #500 back, the precursor to the 545, and 545i backs.

i have another one and use it for exposing #55 p/n and #59 film.
this is MISSING the little metal wire that at the base.
( it is what later became the little clippy thing on the 545 back )

it can easily be used to expose paper negatives
or for some sort of project

I've found five more rolls of 12 exp Portrait 160. I can send one roll out each to five people or five rolls out to one person. Don't mind which.

I used the same Agfa film I got last time of this, and it's quite nice

The wife came home from an estate auction last week with a Montgomery Wards am 551 rangefinder. If anyone wants it, it's a couple of pounds from zip code 46514.

Mike
If Nobody claimed this, I think I'm interested. It won't let me send you a private message though.

Spiratone enlarging meter. Operates on 120V AC. Has multiple scales for indicating exposure, and paper grade. A light on the side comes on when turning the dial from it's indicated "off" position, but there is no other indication that it functions.
Free including domestic US shipping in a padded envelope. Please PM if interested.

I'm sorry: no one spoke up for it so I donated it to Goodwill.

Mike

Just curious, does Goodwill and other thrifts take it if it know as broken or not working?

Not usually but the manager of one of our local Goodwill shops likes to take apart and try to repair mechanical things, so we humor her and provide her with project material when we can. Advantages of small town life, I suppose.

I have some raw chemicals from the photographer's formulary. A bottle of Potassium Carbonate, Anhydrous, 1lb but I've used some of it, not too much, over half left. Also a bottle of Sodium Chloride, 100g, I've also used some, not much. Free to whoever PMs me first. I'd like $6 for shipping in the US only.
