old dry mount tissue (1980s)

I was given a pile of 11x14 colormount tissue. It's from the 1980s, and still in its original packaging. It seems to make a bond as usual, and I ran a few test images on it with no problems.

Years ago I heard from a photographer that if the tissue had yellowed, it was shot. This tissue has yellow edges. Is there any truth to that statement?

Test it and see. If it sticks, there is no truth to the statement.

I assume the yellowed edges will be trimmed off. Otherwise, I sure wouldn't worry about it.
