Old and mistreated Technical Pan

I found a bulk loader of Technical Pan in my shed today. It must be 25 years old, been exposed to >100 F and below 0 F many times. Any chance it's any good? I suppose I could run a roll with Rodinal to find out.

i wouldnt doubt it. but thats me being super optimistic. send it my way if you dont feel like finding out lol. considering its super low ISO there is a slight possibility something will show up. try it

Looks pretty crappy, but there's something there. I'm going to shoot a roll tomorrow and try Percpetol at 1+1 to see if that does the job.

Perceptol will tell you if the film isn't completely kaput, but it won't tell you if the film is still good. As there is no accounting for taste, and desire for high levels of contrast, I'm sure there are people who use it regularly with Perceptol, just as there are ones who use Rodinal and HC110 and find the results to their liking. I find TMax-100 developed in Microdol-X produces much better results than Tech Pan in any of the above developers and is far cheaper to boot.

Tech Pan, if you really want to exploit its characteristics, needs to be developed in Technidol. Photo Formulary sells their own version of a Tech Pan developer but I haven't tried it and can not comment. Pota results are so-so. There is a Crawley (?) variation on Pota that seems even worse than the original.

Yeah, I realize that, but I want to use a developer I have on hand just to see if the film is any good. If it looks like it, then I'll pick up Formulary developer.
